Welcome to our travel blog. We are Tabitha and Nic. In 2011 we 'retired' in our early 40s and set off to travel the world. We spent our first year in South America and have been lucky enough to make two trips to Antarctica.

Our blog is a record of our travels, thoughts and experiences. It is not a guide book, but we do include some tips and information, so we hope that you may find it useful if you are planning to visit somewhere we have been. Or you may just find it interesting as a bit of armchair travel.

It's the final Throwback

So, I started the throwbacks when we set off in 2015, because I didn't want to just give up on all of the old posts from 2013-14, but at the same time, I wanted to get on with the new journey as well.

Making Tuesday and Thursday posts the throwbacks to the older stuff, and posting about the current travels at weekends, seemed like a good way to achieve this, even if it may sometimes have made you wonder just which country we were in now. Mind you, that happens to us quite a lot too!

But now, we've finally reached the end of 2014, and after making life difficult for ourselves by choosing to have family around for Christmas, and the neighbours around again between then and New Year, we spent the first week of January frantically getting rid of our furniture (again) and packing up the rest of our stuff to go into storage.

We had found tenants for our flat, and they would be moving in before too long, so we were good to go off on our travels again. We had plans to be away for around thirteen months, so we spent a few days down in Kent with family before flying out on 11 January.

So now the throwbacks come to an end. Sadly I haven't managed to keep up to date with our latest adventures - the current posts about Cambodia are last December - but I am gradually catching up, and now that the older posts are finished, I hope to be able to get there a bit sooner.
