Welcome to our travel blog. We are Tabitha and Nic. In 2011 we 'retired' in our early 40s and set off to travel the world. We spent our first year in South America and have been lucky enough to make two trips to Antarctica.

Our blog is a record of our travels, thoughts and experiences. It is not a guide book, but we do include some tips and information, so we hope that you may find it useful if you are planning to visit somewhere we have been. Or you may just find it interesting as a bit of armchair travel.

Are you out there?

OK with one notable exception (thank you Lisa) we are lacking anyone leaving any comments on the blog. It would be nice to know that there are a few of you out there reading this, so I am trying out opening up the comments so that you don't have to sign up to google email. So give it a go and leave us a message - even if you just say hi. Don't forget to say who you are and that unlike me, you probably have a name that we know more than one of! Oh and if you are reading this and don't know us, feel free to say hi and tell us how you came across this blog.

  1. Hi, tried to post already but it doesn't appeared to have worked so am trying again. Sorry if I appear twice. Glad you are both well and enjoying yourselves! It's great to read the blogs, well done for managing to do them so often! Take care, Katie xx

  2. Hi Katie. Thanks for the message - glad I'm not talking to myself! We are enjoying it here. BsAs is the civilised and easy lull before we hit the storm of being on Dragoman with early mornings and lots of camping!

  3. Settling into it gradually sounds like a good idea! When are you off on the next part of the adventure then? I read your blogs about once a week and tell Amy and Ed what your up to. No doubt I shall be telling my new class soon as well as they always like hearing stuff about Miss and the people connected with me lol. Take care xx

  6. Hi Andy, glad you've found us, as this is the main way we are keeping in touch with people. Noticed your comment on your info about barbecued guinea pigs - we should be trying that in Peru as it's a local speciality!
